Is Umrah from the one that has a Tattoo.

Q; Assalau'aleykum wr wb. May this mesg reach u in the best health n imaan. Would u pls to gv me favourr I hv a question, can someone whom has tatoo in his/ herr body doing umroh? Especially for the man tht hv tattoo in his shoulder, this tatoo he has in his dark life in past . So Is it ok or permisible for him for doing umrah or hajj while in his solder many withh tatoo ? Jazakumullah kher A;All-Praise is due to Allah, Tattooing means to prick the skin with a needle and inject kohl or some other substance to change the skin colour to blue or green. This is haraam according to the consensus of the scholars. (al-Mughni 1/94) Al-Bukhaari and Muslim narrated that ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’ood (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “Allaah has cursed the women who do tattoos and the women who have this done, the women who pluck their eyebrows, and the women who file their teeth for the purpose of beautification and change the creation of Allaah.” But though the mercy of Allah if one repents sincerely and is regretful for their action then through the Will of Allah, Allah will forgive them. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The one who repents from sin is like one who did not sin at all.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi and classed as hasan by al-Albaani. Sheikh Muhammad Saalih Al-Munajid: The curse of the woman who does tattoos is not permanent; rather when a person repents from it, that curse is lifted. (Islam Q&A Fatwa: 9222) Shaykh ‘Abd-Alazeez ibn Baaz (may Allah have mercy on his soul) said: If a Muslim does that when he is unaware of the fact that it is haraam, or that is done to him when he is a child, then he has to remove it when he comes to know that it is haraam. But if removing it is too difficult or will cause him harm, then it is sufficient for him to repent and seek forgiveness, and it will not matter if he leaves the mark on his body. End of quote. (Islam Q&A Fatwa: 9098) It was also asked in another Fatwa: Q; When I was kafir I got a tattoo on my shoulder.Alhumdillah I am now Muslim, My husband is fine about it Alhumdillah, however we would like it removed. To have it removed by laser is expensive and I believe it requires burning of the skin and I do not want to rule out for myself being of thoes who will enter Jena without account. Inshallah I have repented, is there anymore I really need to do? Jazak Allah Khair. A; Praise be to Allaah Who has guided you to His Straight Path. I ask Allaah to make you steadfast in following it. As for this tattoo which cannot be removed except through this kind of surgery, you do not have to do this, because it is too difficult and will cause pain and hurt. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning); “… and [Allaah] has not laid upon you in religion any hardship…” [al-Hajj 22:78]. Your regret and dislike of that, and your determination never to do it again is sufficient. Also, Islam wipes out what came before, so in this case leaving it as it is should not cause you any harm, in sha Allaah. May Allaah help you to do that which He loves and which pleases Him. End of quote. (See Islam Q&A Fatwa: 5452) To conclude the person that has a Tattoo their Umrah or Hajj will be excepted insha-Allah As it was stated in a Fatwa form Islamweb: 89675: Hajj is valid for whoever is not able to remove the tattoos. End of quote. We ask Allah to except your Umrah and may He The-Exalted forgive us all for our sins and short comings…
