Concern upon hearing a Fabricated Hadith.

All-Praise is due to Allah,

It has come to my concern about a Hadith I heard in a lecture of a certain person, who quoted, 'People are all the same, like the teeth of a comb are all the same.'

This Hadith is classified as Mowdoua' & Munar (Fabricated) and the Scholars of Hadith have mentioned some of their gradings on it as followed-

Ibn U'day said in his book Al-Kaamal Ad-Dua'faa-4/225, Hadith Mowdoua'.

Ibn Al-Kaysaraani said in his book Dhakhirah Al-Hifaazh- 5/2538, In the chain narration their is Slayman Ibn U'maru who is a lier. Also Adhahabi quoted the same in his book of Mizan Al-A'tidaal-2/217.

Ibn Al-Juwzie grades it as Mowdua' in his book of Mowdoua'aat-3/275.

Ibn Hajr Al-Asqalaani said in his book Lissan Al-Mizaan-2/330, Hadith Munkar jidan.

Albani grades it as Da'eef and Da'eef Jidan (Very Weak) in His Silsilat As-Sahihah-No: 596 & 3158.

Please be careful of what you listen to and who you listen too, make sure you ask the people of knowledge on these questions before taking in any sort of things that are claimed to be from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)....

And Allah knows best...
